Amav Transportation and Traffic Planning is a professional consortium with offices in Israel since 1979, incorporated in 1993, with an interdisciplinary professional staff that has provided transportation planning, engineering, environmental and urban design services in the middle east and across several continents. Four partners, Marc Render, Avi Sperber, Eldad Lebel and Zvi Yeres, use their complementary qualifications to direct the firm’s experienced staff. In 1994 a subsidiary company, Jerusalem Transport Systems, was created as a joint venture to plan mass transit and other public transport projects.

One of the strengths of Amav Transport Planning is the successful integration of the firm's land use and transportation expertise in a wide range of projects. The interdisciplinary professional structure of the firm, encourages broad consultation, drawing upon a variety of related skills and disciplines as needed for individual projects. This helps to provide us with an understanding of the close and dynamic relationships between urban growth patterns and major transportation improvements in developing urban areas.
